    Q:
How to replace the engine oil cooler on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
As the first step to replace the Engine Oil Cooler you must drain the coolant and oil from the engine. Next, remove the Exhaust Manifold. Remove all coolant pipe bolts at once from both the engine coolant distributor case and the engine front cover. Start by removing the Oil Cooler tightening bolts from the assembly and both the heat exchanger unit and its gasket. Awareness of Oil Cooler gasket conditions for damage and leaking should become a pre-installation step. Replace old gaskets with new ones before installation. The heat exchanger assembly should fit onto the Oil Cooler housing by installing the heat exchanger bolts at 8 nm (70.8 lb in). Lay the gasketed coolant pipes into the Oil Cooler housing next install and tighten Oil Cooler tightening bolts to 25 nm (18.4 lb ft). You should place the engine front cover coolant pipe bolts and apply torque to 8 nm (70.8 lb in) before moving on to install and torque the engine coolant distributor case coolant pipe bolts to 8 nm (70.8 lb in). Finally, reinstall the Exhaust Manifold.
