    Q:
How to replace the heater core in a hatchback on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of a hatchback Heater Core starts by opening the hood and removing the negative Battery Cable while following the necessary disconnection procedures. The vehicle should have its instrument panel removed before extracting the heater/air distribution case. First remove the linkage screw from the lower Heater Core cover post while also taking out the linkage lever but remember to note each lever's position for assembly. Handle the case with caution to protect linkage levers then uninstall the screws that fasten the Heater Core cover before gently moving the lower cover from the assembly while maintaining sealant. First remove the bracket clamp retaining the Heater Core lines to the case and then the spring clamp attached to the Heater Core body at the case followed by Heater Core extraction. You should position the Heater Core body into the case before you use the retaining spring clamp to secure it along with the Heater Core lines that need to be fastened with the bracket clamp and screw. Attach new sealant on the Heater Core cover mounting channel flange before inserting and screwing it into place. Climb the linkage lever onto the cover post by screw attachment before testing the correct opening and closing function of the heater/air distribution case doors through their actuating levers. Reinstall the heater/air distribution case as well as the instrument panel assembly in the right order. Complete the system fluid refilling process followed by reconnecting the cable attached to the negative battery terminal.
