Apply the restricted use J 25070 Heat Gun (J 25070) to perform circular heat treatment of the emblem/nameplate for thirty seconds. A plastic flat tool should be used to carefully peel off the emblem/nameplate from the panel surface. Use all available methods to remove any remaining adhesive before installing the new emblem/nameplate. Use 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07502) or equivalent for body panels while using Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha or a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water for plastic panels for the removal process. Dry and clean the installation area before using tape to define the positioning of the emblem/nameplate on left/right side quarter panels for Park Avenue and Park Avenue Ultra models. Heat the mounting area with a J 25070 Heat Gun (J 25070) to reach 27-41°C (80-105°F). Keep the emblem/nameplate temperature at 29-32°C (85-90°F). Position the emblem/nameplate on the marks by removing protective tape from its back surface then firmly press it against the mounting area while using even pressure to achieve an equal bond distribution. After using the J 25070 Heat Gun (J 25070), the last step is to remove the protective tape from the mounting surface.
