    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
The power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir needs to be siphoned before starting the replacement of the return hose. First disconnect the return line pipe that connects to the outlet connection at the steering gear and then remove the fluid reservoir hose at the fluid reservoir. Begin the installation process by attaching both the fluid reservoir hose to the fluid reservoir followed by the fluid reservoir pipe connection to the steering gear outlet which requires tightened steering gear outlet pipe fittings at 28 nm (21 ft. Lbs.). The correct procedure for fluid addition and complete exchange requires gm spec. No. 9985010 or its equivalent because wrong fluid selection causes Power Steering Hose damage, seal damage, fluid leakage and pump breakdown. After filling the reservoir with the correct power steering fluid examine for leaks before resolving any discovered problems while performing necessary system bleeding.
