    Q:
How to replace the piston, connecting rod, and bearing with variable camshaft phasing on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
In order to remove Piston, connecting rod, and bearing on variable Camshaft phasing first remove engine assembly and mount it on a stand before starting. Remove the Ignition Coil, pcv clips and pcv hose from the cylinder head cover and then get the cylinder head cover bolts and the cover. Next, you will remove the Power Steering Pump and bracket, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, camshaft intake and exhaust sprockets, camshaft rear cover , exhaust manifold, throttle body, intake manifold, engine coolant distributor , and cylinder head bolts to extract cylinder head assembly with the cylinder head gasket. Refine Engine Oil Cooler, a/c compressor, Alternator, starter, oil pan, oil pump assembly, flexible plate or Flywheel. Make sure to double-check the Piston assembly and connecting rod bearing sequence to avoid confusion. Pull off the connecting rod cap and bolts; then the Piston assembly, Piston pin, and Piston Ring with the help of the expansion tool. For installation, install back the Piston pin and Piston Ring onto the Piston using the expansion tool, and install the Piston assembly insert with the Piston installer (1.6L only - EN-49153). Retighten the connecting rod cap and bolts to 35+45° +15 nm (25.8+45° +15 lb ft), flexible plate/or fly wheel, oil pump assembly, engine oil cooler, a/c compressor, Alternator, and Starter. Install the Oil Pan, ensuring not to reuse the cylinder head gasket, then install the cylinder head assembly with a new gasket and tighten the cylinder head bolts to 25+90° +90° +90° +45° nm (18.4+90° +90° +90° +45° lb ft). Lastly, install the engine coolant distributor, intake manifold, throttle body, exhaust manifold, camshaft rear cover, camshaft intake, and exhaust sprockets, timing belt system, accessory belt, power steering pump and bracket, cylinder head cover, cylinder head cover bolts, pcv hose, and pcv clips, putting back the Ignition Coil.

    Q:
How to replace the piston, connecting rod, and bearing in an engine assembly on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Engine assembly replacement becomes necessary before installing the stand to replace a Piston alongside connecting rod and bearing. Begin by disconnecting the Ignition Coil along with the pcv clips and the pcv hose from the Cylinder Head cover before removing its bolts and the cover itself. Property number one consists of Power Steering Pump removal together with its bracket and Timing Belt, Timing Belt tensioner, camshaft intake and exhaust sprockets, camshaft rear cover, exhaust manifold, throttle body, intake manifold, engine coolant distributor and Cylinder Head bolts followed by Cylinder Head assembly extraction with gasket. Engine technicians should separate the Engine Oil Cooler and A/C Compressor and Alternator and Starter alongside disposing of the Oil Pan and Oil Pump assembly and flexible plate or Flywheel. First row your Piston assembly with connecting rod bearing sequence and afterward detach the connecting rod cap and bolts and including the Piston assembly. Use the expansion tool to separate the Piston pin from both the Piston and Piston Ring sequence. Before installing the Piston assembly place the Piston pin followed by the Piston Ring into position and afterwards use a Piston installer (1.6L only - EN-49153) for assembly installation. Follow tightening instructions to install 35+45° +15° nm (25.8+45° +15° lb ft) on connecting rod cap bolts then proceed to place flexible plate or Flywheel and additional components starting with Oil Pump assembly followed by Engine Oil Cooler before finalizing with A/C Compressor and Alternator and Starter unit and Oil Pan. The Cylinder Head assembly requires new gasket installation before torqueing its bolts to 25+90° +90° +90° +45° nm (18.4+90° +90° +90° +45° lb ft). Secure all components in their specified order including the engine coolant distributor followed by the Intake Manifold then the Throttle Body and Exhaust Manifold and the camshaft rear cover with camshaft intake and exhaust sprockets before setting the Timing Belt system followed by the accessory belt and Power Steering Pump and bracket and Cylinder Head cover and its bolts. Listadapter the pcv hose after attaching its clips before reinstalling the Ignition Coil.
