    Q:
How to replace the rear bumper fascia on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Replacement of the rear Bumper fascia requires beginning with wheel removal. Start the replacement process by removing screws from both mud guards then proceed to take out screws from splash shields. Unfasten the screws at the back of the fascia and the nuts at the rear Bumper energy absorber. Begin by removing the rear cargo area trim panels and after that separate all bolts within the luggage compartment before disconnecting the exterior trim panels that sit beneath the taillamps. The Bumper fascia removal process requires first disassembling screws at the taillamps before removing screws installed on the upper rear section of the fascia and finally detaching the fascia itself. Secure the fascia first through the rear upper fascia screws then tighten all fasteners to 1.5 n.m which equals to 13 lb in of torque. Attach the exterior trim panels to the fascia screws which are under the taillamps before tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Tighten the bolts within the luggage compartment to 5.5 n.m (49 lb in) before putting back the rear cargo area trim panels. Drill and tighten the nuts behind the rear Bumper energy absorber to 27 n.m (20 lb ft), then fasten the screws behind the fascia to 5.5 n.m (49 lb in). Install splash shields and mud guards by using their screws which should be tightened to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in). Put back the rear wheels.
