    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Reservoir on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of the remote Power Steering Reservoir starts with draining power steering fluid from the reservoir. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir then disconnect both electrical harness clips at the underhood junction block and the Coolant Reservoir. The replacement process begins with separating the ecm wire harness from its clip on the reservoir and continuing with Power Steering Hose disconnection from the Power Steering Reservoir. Pull out the Power Steering Reservoir with its bracket assembly by detaching bracket bolts from the vehicle and using caps to seal the Power Steering Reservoir alongside the hoses against contamination. Begin the procedure by uncapping Power Steering Reservoir tubing then install fundamentals by fitting the bracket to the vehicle and using an 9 nm torque setting on m6 bolts coupled with a 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) torque specification on m8 bolts. Route the Power Steering Reservoir hoses to their destination at the Power Steering Reservoir and return the coolant recovery reservoir into place while attaching the ecm wire harness to its mount on the reservoir. Last steps include connecting the electrical harness at the underhood junction block and Coolant Reservoir and filling the Power Steering Reservoir with fluid while performing system bleeding before examining for fluid leaks.

    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
A proper replacement of the remote Power Steering Reservoir starts with draining power steering fluid from the reservoir. The next procedure requires the removal of coolant recovery reservoir and wire harness connector separation at both underhood junction block and Coolant Reservoir. Disconnect the Engine Control Module (ECM) wire harness from its connection to the ecm wire harness clip on the reservoir and then cut both power steering hoses from the Power Steering Reservoir. The Power Steering Reservoir and bracket assembly needs to be bolted out from the vehicle as a repair step while Power Steering Reservoir hose ends should have caps installed to protect from contaminants. Lift the caps of Power Steering Reservoir and hoses and mount the Power Steering Reservoir with its bracket onto the vehicle while tightening the m6 bolt to 9 nm (7 ft. Lbs.) and the m8 bolt to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Connect the Power Steering Reservoir hoses to the Power Steering Reservoir then reinstall the coolant recovery reservoir while connecting the ecm wire harness to its clip on the reservoir. Next reconnect the electrical harness clip at the underhood junction block and Coolant Reservoir, continue by adding power steering fluid into the reservoir followed by power steering system bleeding before checking for potential leakages.
