The first task to service the EGR valve requires disconnecting its electrical connector. The service requires removal of the two EGR valve retaining nuts followed by extraction of the EGR valve. Now you must detach the gasket which operates between the EGR valve adapter. Install the EGR valve on the adapter by applying a new gasket first before securing the two nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft). Install the EGR valve electrical connector as the final service step.
