2001 Buick Park Avenue Door Lock Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the front door power door lock switch on 2001 Buick Park Avenue?
A: A flat-bladed tool should be inserted under the front edge of the switch plate to softly pry it upwards from the door trim panel for power door lock switch replacement. Frontward motion of the switch will release the rear retainer tabs while also allowing you to remove the electrical connectors. A small flat-bladed tool should be used to release the retainer tabs which allow the removal of the switch pack from the switch plate. To install the switch pack users need to fit it back into the switch plate then connect the electrical connectors and place tabs behind the switch plate under the door trim panel. After placing the front of the switch plate under pressure the retainer clip becomes activated.
