During knock sensor installation you should avoid using thread sealant on the sensor threads due to its factory coating since extra sealant may affect sensor detonation detection. Screw the knock sensor into the engine block and tighten it to 19 N.m (14 lb ft). Lower the vehicle while connecting the knock sensor electrical connector to the knock sensor . Then fill the cooling system. Check the coolant level after starting the engine.
