2002 Buick Park Avenue Washer Reservoir Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Washer Pump and Washer Reservoir on 2002 Buick Park Avenue?
A: Owners need to detach the washer pump electric connections and washer hose first before moving the washer solvent into a suitable container. Also maintain master cylinder connection to hydraulic brake pipes throughout this process. To start position the Brake Master Cylinder toward the passenger area and disconnect its mounting nuts. Pull the two nuts off from the washer solvent container while keeping in mind the plastic tab engages a slot on the vehicle body rail. Lift the container straight up to detach it from the vehicle. Detach all three items including the washer pump and grommet from the washer solvent container alongside the wash level sensor. Install the washer solvent level sensor by positioning its tab into the container slot before inserting all components. Set the lower tab of the container into its slot in the body rail and position it to install both nuts at 8 n.m (70 lb in). Slowly place the Brake Master Cylinder across the mounting studs and fix the nuts in place. Connect electrical wires to the washer solvent level sensor and pump before you connect the wash hose to the pump. Fill the container with washer solvent through the hose and put on the cap correctly to test the wiper washer system.
