  A: To replace the generator (L36) first unplug the battery negative cable and remove the Drive Belt. Then removing the fuel injector sight shield and fasteners for the generator brace, and then removing the generator brace. We could unclip the generator wiring harness from the generator and the protective boot associated with the generator output bat terminal. Rf generator output bat terminal nut and then pull the positive lead of the battery off the generator then remove the generator mounting bolts to move the generator out of the vehicle. For installation, align the unit on the engine and use the generator mounting bolts by tightening them up to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Connect the generator wiring harness connector to the generator, then connect the positive lead and install the generator output bat terminal nut tightened to 12.5 n.m (111 lb in). However, you would press the protective boot onto the generator output bat terminal, install the generator brace and fasteners, then tighten down the generator brace nut to 50 n.m (37 lb ft); and tight down the generator brace bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Lastly, reinstall the fuel injector sight shield, the Drive Belt, and reconnect the battery negative cable.
