First step to replace an engine Flywheel is to remove the automatic transmission while recording its position as well as the direction of the engine Flywheel. First, extract all the engine Flywheel bolts followed by the automatic transmission engine Flywheel itself. The engine Flywheel should be checked and cleaned while two m11x1.5 mm bolts will be installed in the spacer threaded holes on the Crankshaft rear side. Use clockwise rotation to remove the spacer from its position. Begin installation by putting the spacer (if used) on the Crankshaft rear before placing on the automatic transmission engine Flywheel. Engine applications with Flywheel spacers require extended Flywheel bolts while you should apply threadlock gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or its equivalent on Flywheel bolt threads. Engine Flywheel bolt installation must be done in sequence by applying 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.), followed by 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) and finishing at 100 nm (74 ft. Lbs.). You should reinstall the automatic transmission following this procedure.
