How to Repair the Shift Knob on 2007 GMC Acadia?

The parking brakes, the floor console panel and the switch connector should be disconnected to replace the Shift Knob. Turn the key to RUN and push the lever backward and disassemble the trim ring. Unscrew, manoeuvre the harness and attach the knob. Check on the correct functioning, fit the panel and release the brake.
