Replacement of the front Crankshaft oil seal starts by removing the Crankshaft balancer element. The flat-bladed tool should be used to gently extract the Crankshaft oil seal while maintaining safety for both the engine front cover and the Crankshaft. Installation of the components should omit any lubricant on the front oil seal of the Crankshaft and both sealing surfaces on the Crankshaft balancer. Use the oil seal installer tool j 29184 to place the new Crankshaft front oil seal and afterward install the Crankshaft balancer.
