How to replace the LH exhaust heat shield on 2008 Buick Enclave?

The first step to replace the left side exhaust manifold heat shield involves removing the fuel injector sight shield. The engine wiring harness electrical connector should be disconnected from the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector followed by removing the HO2S electrical connector retainer from its position on the engine wiring harness clip. The exhaust manifold heat shield requires exact bolt removal to allow sliding the shield upward towards the HO2S pigtail. Insert the new exhaust manifold heat shield onto the HO2S pigtail before you install bolts and tighten them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). You should connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the HO2S electrical connector before installing the retainer on the harness clip. Reinstall the fuel injector sight shield as the last step.
