How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) on 2008 Buick LaCrosse?

In order to replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S), disconnect the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector while being careful not to put too much force on it that could damage the threads in the Exhaust Manifold/pipe. The Oxygen Sensor: if the engine temperature is less than 48°c (120°F) then the Oxygen Sensor may be hard to remove from the engine. Then you eliminate heated Oxygen Sensor. If you install the new or used sensor, make sure that a special anti-seize compound is applied to the threads; the new service sensors should already have this compound and the reused sensors should be coated with the anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or equivalent. Mount the ho2s and tighten it 1 to 42 n.m (31 lb ft) then reconnect the electrical connector of the Oxygen Sensor.
