In order to replace the Fuel Level Sensor, it is better to be safe and clean the spills, ventilate and cover the fuel openings. Take out the fuel tank pump module. Pull locking tabs with tools as one raises the sensor. Unscrew electrical terminals, examine and rearrange as necessary. Install the sensor by reinstalling the module.
