The Drain Plug of the oil pan requires removal so the oil can drain completely while you place a drain pan beneath it. Screw the oil pan Drain Plug into place before tightening it to a torque of 20 nm (15 lb ft). Place the drain pan under the Oil Filter and remove the filter to let remaining oil drain. Use clean engine oil to lubricate the new Oil Filter gasket then install it and tighten until torque reaches 30 nm (22 lb ft). Lower the vehicle before adding new engine oil. Verify that the engine has no leak issues after engine start.
