- Q: How to replace the A/C Hose (LAU) on 2010 Cadillac SRX?A: The first step to replace air conditioning condenser and evaporator hose (LAU) is to extract refrigerant from the a/c system. Raise the vehicle before applying support. The first step should be to dismount the front bumper fascia. Unbolt both the air conditioning condenser and evaporator hose from the compressor before detaching them from the compressor completely. First unfasten the hose nut for the air conditioning condenser and evaporator at their tube then extract the air conditioning condenser and evaporator hose from both components. First dismantle the hose nut at the condenser then detach the hose from the condenser before removing the hose completely from the vehicle with disposal of all sealing washers. Start by placing new sealing washers before you connect the air conditioning condenser and evaporator hose to the condenser and tighten the hose nut to 15 nm (11 lb in). Completely fasten the nut to 15 nm (11 lb in) while you connect the hose to both air conditioning condenser and evaporator tube. Position the hose to the compressor before fastening it with the bolt at 15 nm torque. The installation process includes putting back the front bumper fascia then lowering the car and then performing an air conditioning system evacuation and charging process.
