    The first step to replace the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly requires removal of the control Valve Body cover. The electrical connections of the input speed sensor and output speed sensor together with shift position switch should be disconnected. First loose the 4 control Valve Body bolts m6 x 80 before placing the control solenoid valve spring to one side because it will detach when removing the control Valve Body assembly. The procedure requires removal of the control Valve Body bolts m6 x 65 and m6 x 42 as well as the three m6 x 95 control Valve Body bolts and m6 x 55 control Valve Body bolt. Remove the control solenoid Valve Body followed by the transmission control module (TCM) assembly after which remove the control solenoid valve assembly filter plate because it is not reusable. The control solenoid valve assembly requires replacement if either the pressure switch manifold seals show damage or contamination.
