Side cutters will cut off this clamp for disposal. You need to step away the Rack and Pinion Boot from its position on the Rack And Pinion gear assembly. When assembling start by installing a new boot clamp onto the Rack and Pinion Boot after which apply grease to both the inner tie rod assembly and the Rack And Pinion gear assembly before placing the Rack and Pinion Boot onto the inner tie rod assembly.
