The replacement process of the Evaporative Emission Control Canister starts with removing the rear frame followed by disconnecting EVAP hoses and the electrical connector from the EVAP canister. Remove the EVAP canister retaining nuts before lowering its rear section to expose the two weld studs. Guide the canister backward from the body brace. The installation process requires users to put the fresh air tube and canister tab in the body brace before rotating the canister rear onto the floor pan weld studs and tightening the EVAP canister retaining nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in). You should complete the installation by connecting EVAP hoses as well as the electrical connector to the EVAP canister and then reinstalling the rear frame.
