The procedure requires the drilling of a 3.0 mm (0.12 in) pilot hole to start and then moving on to drill a 13.0 mm (0.51 in) hole as the main action. Both holes need to penetrate the hinge base while keeping the pilot hole operational. Make a chisel cut through the space between the door pillar and hinge. Place the bolt-on service replacement hinges into the scribe marks then center punch each bolt hole spot prior to drilling a 13.0 mm (0.51 in) hinge attaching hole through three drills to achieve correct hinge positioning. You should apply a medium-bodied sealer onto the mating surfaces of the hinges after preparing the sleeping surface using a file moving tool. The installation procedure requires positioning the hinge to match the frame holes of the door and hinge pillar then inserting bolt pieces through the hinge and backing plate before tightening the nuts. Fasten the nuts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft) then reposition the door onto the body and seal around the hinges.
