After wrapping the Oil Filter with a single-use towel you can pull it out but maintain a vertical position until the vehicle parts are fully clear. First clean every oil spillage before applying fresh engine oil to the new Oil Filter gasket. Then tighten the Oil Filter to 30 n·m (22 lb ft). A drain pan should be positioned under the oil pan Drain Plug which then needs to be unscrewed to allow complete oil drainage. Place the oil pan Drain Plug in position then tighten it to 20 nm (15 lb ft) before cleaning both the oil pan Drain Plug and Oil Filter areas from beneath. Lower the vehicle while filling the engine oil to the proper fluid levels as you confirm fluid quantity requirements. After starting the engine evaluate for any leakages.
