    Q:
How to replace the underhood fuse box on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of an underhood electrical center requires beginning with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Animal verses the positive cable nut inside the underhood junction block cover to remove its positive Battery Cable nut and move the cable somewhere far from the block. Through the tabs you should pull out the junction block from its housing while using a screwdriver to disconnect all engine and forward lamp wiring harness connectors from the junction block. The necessity to extract the junction block housing requires unbolting its nuts followed by raising the housing to free its tab from the strut tower before removing the housing from the vehicle. The junction block installation requires users to position the housing across the strut tower after inserting the lower tab into the tower slot. Next, install and tighten junction block housing studs on strut tower studs to 3 n.m (27 lb in). Tighten all engine, ip and forward lamp wiring harness connector bolts to the junction block until they reach 10 n.m (89 lb in). Synchronize the housing tabs with the junction block before securing it within position. Apply the positive Battery Cable lead to the junction block stud before securing it with the positive cable lead nut and tightening the nut to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). To complete the procedure return the cover to the junction block and restore power to the negative Battery Cable and secure it in place.
