    To service and repair the constant velocity joint boot for an automatic wheel drive shaft inner joint and seal replacement, the following tools are need to have; seal clamp pliers (J 35566) and snap ring pliers (J 8059). Start by taking out the drive axle from the vehicle. Leave out the large seal retaining clamp and the small seal retaining clamp and remove them using the seal clamp pliers (J 35566). Junk the joint housing from the boot and degrease the tripot assembly. With the help of the snap ring pliers (J 8059), remove the shaft retaining ring from the Axle Shaft; take out the tripot and tripot joint retaining ring and the tripot joint seal; with the help of the trvonocated ring pliers (T 5577), remove the spherical bearing, and then take out the thrust washerr and contact washer. New small seal retaining clamp should be placed and installed on the seal to the Axle Shaft. With the help of the snap ring pliers (J 8059), install the shaft retaining ring onto the Axle Shaft. Pack the tripot housing with 195-215 g (6.9-7.6 ounces) of the recommended grease and repack the tripot with the same weight of grease. Then connect the boot to the joint house and insert a new large seal retaining clamp and crimp it using seal clamp pliers (J 35566) and crimp the new small seal retaining clamp using the same tool. Lastly, re-install the drive Axle Shaft to the vehicle.
