    The first step to replace the Hood Cable requires removing the hood release handle until you can access the screws which permit the removal of both handle and screws from the instrument panel. You need to raise the vehicle and securely support it by following all instructions in the vehicle lifting and jacking notice. Start by taking out the front wheeled and screws mounting the splash shield after which lift the hood. Begin by detaching the hood secondary latch by removing its screws and breaking the cable connection to the hood release handle before removing the cable from within the vehicle compartment. Begin cable installation by inserting it inside the vehicle before routing it to the hood release handle while following the fastener notice. Fasten the screws that hold the hood secondary latch before tightening the hood latch screws to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Install the front wheel after securing the splash shield with screws which should be tightened to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in). The hood release installation ends with screwing the hood component into the instrument panel at 1.5 n.m (13 lb in).
