Antenna Cable

Start by removing the radio if you want to change the Antenna Cable. Dts vehicles with center consoles should remove the left console trim before continuing. Base deville and dhs models need to have the instrument panel (IP) center compartment removed for this task. Begin by cutting the radio end of the radio cable and then remove the radio Antenna Cable. The instrument panel carrier cable clip should be disengaged while pulling the radio Antenna Cable from the instrument panel (I/P) harness so you can note the cable routing for future reinstallation. When installing the new cable position the radio Antenna Cable beside the i/p harness so it can travel through the i/p carrier until reaching the radio opening following the previous routing steps. Fasten the Antenna Cable to the ip harness through a tie strap. You should reinstall the radio followed by the reinstallation of left console trim panels for dts models or instrument panel center compartments for base deville and dhs vehicles.

Route the new radio antenna extension cable next to the I/P harness through the I/P carrier to the radio opening, as noted during removal.

Disconnect the radio antenna cable.

Begin by removing the rear sail panels and rear assist handles, then lower the rear of the headliner, taking care to avoid excessive bending that could damage it.
