    Q:
How to replace the Heater Core on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step before heater core replacement is to drain all engine coolant. The first step requires disconnecting the heater hoses assembly then removing the heater core tube clamp bolt and the tube clamp itself. The next step involves disconnecting the heater core shroud seal together with the two heater rear case bolts followed by sliding the heater rear case downward along with the upper case clip separation. Start by taking out the IP compartment door then all three bolts securing the heater core and the heater core itself. After placing the heater core in position, mount it with the heater core clamp while torquing the clamp bolt to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in). Push the heater rear case upward while making sure the upper clip secures with the snap on the left edge of the distributor case then fasten the bolts to a torque of 2.0 N.m (18 lb in). Begin by placing the heater core shroud seal on top followed by the heater core tube clamp which should be tightened with a bolt to 2 N.m (18 lb in). The last step includes replacing both the Instrument Panel (IP) compartment door and heater hoses assembly.
