    Q:
How to replace the Timing Cover on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the Timing Belt cover replacement requires removing the Timing Belt followed by camshaft gears and Crankshaft Gear and finally Timing Belt automatic tensioner bolts and the Timing Belt automatic tensioner. Start by unbolting the Timing Belt Idler Pulley and removing the idler pulley and Timing Belt Idler Pulley bolt. After that, remove the rear Timing Belt cover bolts while keeping the rear Timing Belt cover. Begin by putting the rear Timing Belt cover into position while tightening all bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. The Timing Belt Idler Pulley installation includes its bolt which should receive a torque of 40 n.m (30 lb ft). Begin by installing the Timing Belt automatic tensioner along with its bolts maintaining 25 n.m of torque (18 lb ft). Mount the Crankshaft Gear while maintaining high attention to both camshafts and Timing Belt to avoid any surface damage. The installation sequence begins with the gear then continues with camshaft gears and ending with the Timing Belt.
