The replacement process for rendezvous rear Bumper fascia starts with opening the endgate. The removal of rear Bumper fascia screws from both sides of the rear quarter panel can be achieved by using door trim pad and garnish clip remover tool (J 38778). The door trim pad and garnish clip remover (J 38778) should be used to extract push-in retainers from both the rear impact bar portion and the upper tabs on the right and left fascia pieces of the rear Bumper. Safely remove each ball stud from the rear Bumper fascia sides and take out part of the fascia from the automobile. The rear parking assist electrical connector needs disconnecting before proceeding to fully remove the rear fascia. The next step involves taking off the rear parking assist object sensor from the rear Bumper fascia as well as the energy absorber from the same area. Installation begins with mounting the energy absorber onto the rear fascia yet the rear parking assist object sensor gets installed to the rear Bumper fascia. Install the rear Bumper fascia partially while connecting its electrical connector and placing it into its vehicle position. Begin installation by engaging the ball stud at the edges of the rear Bumper fascia before inserting push-in retainers at the center hole first and then working from the bottom section to the upper area. Finally you must use the screws to mount the rear Bumper fascia at the inboard area of the rear quarter panel before closing the endgate.

The first step to replace the rendezvous's rear Bumper fascia requires opening the endgate. The door trim pad and garnish clip remover (J 38778) needs to remove the screws from both sides of the rear Bumper fascia located at the inboard section of the rear quarter panel. The door trim pad and garnish clip remover (J 38778) should be used to extract push-in retainers positioned at the rear impact bar and upper tabs of the rear Bumper right and left fascia. Remove the ball stud from both sides of the rear Bumper fascia then take out the fascia partway from the car. The rear parking assist electrical connector requires disconnection before taking out the entire rear fascia. You need to extract the rear parking assist object sensor from the rear Bumper fascia before removing the energy absorber attached to the rear fascia. Security measures begin with attaching energy absorbers to the fascia and then adding the rear parking assist object sensor. The vehicle requires the rear Bumper fascia to be partially secured in place while connecting the rear parking assist electrical connector. Next position the rear Bumper fascia at the correct vehicle position while securing the ball studs at both sides. The installation of push-in retainers begins from the center hole before securing them to lower rear Bumper fascia tabs then upper tabs followed by screw installation to rear Bumper fascia at the inner side of rear quarter panels before closing the endgate.
