Bumper Cover

Start the replacement of rear bumper fascia by raising and supporting the vehicle before proceeding with the next steps. Push-in retainers must be removed from their positions which fasten the rear bumper fascia to the body structure. The next step is to remove both rear wheelhouse extensions. The bolt holding the rear bumper fascia at the wheelhouse opening must be removed. The vehicle needs to be at its lowest position while the rear compartment lid requires opening. Start by taking off the rear compartment side trim panels and then proceed with unbolted the rear bumper fascia from the quarter panels and unscrewed the fascia from the vehicle. Unplug the Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist harness connector located on the passenger side of the rear bumper fascia before taking off the rear bumper fascia from the vehicle. detach the Rear Object Sensor Assemblies from their position on the rear bumper fascia. Start your installation by placing the Rear Object Sensor Assemblies inside the rear bumper fascia. Next install the rear bumper fascia on the vehicle framework while inserting the necessary nuts then secure them by adjusting torque to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Utilize the right-hand side of the rear bumper fascia to connect the Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist electrical connector before installing bolts for fascia attachment to quarter panels at 9 N.m (80 lb in). First install the rear compartment side trim panels before closing the rear compartment lid when you support the vehicle at an elevated position. Finish the installation by inserting the bolt at the wheelhouse opening of the rear bumper fascia and tightening it to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Then reinstall the rear wheelhouse extensions and attach the rear bumper fascia to the body using the push-in retainers before lower the vehicle down.

Start by raising and supporting your vehicle as the next step before dissassembling the rear bumper fascia. Takethe push-in retainers from their position between the body and rear bumper fascia and rear wheelhouse extensions. First lower the vehicle before removing fasteners that connect the rear bumper fascia from the wheelhouse opening then complete the operation to open the rear compartment. Begin by removing the side trim panels in the rear compartment while taking out fasteners which link the rear bumper fascia to both quarter panels and the vehicle itself. Start by disconnecting the Rear Object Sensor harness electrical connector from the passenger side of the rear bumper fascia then remove the rear bumper fascia from the vehicle. The process requires removal of Rear Object Sensor assemblies from the rear bumper fascia when they are present. Start by mounting Rear Object Sensor assemblies into the available space in the rear bumper fascia followed by attaching the rear bumper fascia to the vehicle. Tighten all fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in) when installing them to the rear bumper fascia. After connecting the Ultrasonic Rear Object Sensor electrical connector to the right-hand side rear bumper fascia bracket, install fasteners to secure the rear bumper fascia to the quarter panels where torque must reach 9 N.m (80 lb in). Afterward install rear compartment side trim panels before closing the rear compartment and raising and supporting the vehicle. Secure rear bumper fascia fasteners to wheelhouse openings by tightening them to 9 N.m (80 lb in) and follow installation of the rear wheelhouse extensions before completing the fascia-body attachment with push-in retainers.
