Alternator

The first step to replace the Alternator requires you to disconnect the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the intake manifold cover. Start by removing the Drive Belt before you take off the generator brace bolt and nut followed by removing the generator brace itself. Home to disconnect the generator from its electrical connector of the engine harness before moving the starter cable boot into place and unscrewing the generator terminal nut. To remove the generator you need to first separate the starter cable from the generator before erasing the generator front bolt and generator rear bolt and stud. The generator requires positioning on the engine to begin installation and then the generator front bolt should be installed followed by the generator rear bolt/stud which needs to be tightened to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Secure the generator terminal nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft) after installing the starter cable to the generator. The starter cable boot should be positioned in place while connecting the engine harness electrical connector to the generator. The installation of generator brace requires its bolt and nut where the bolt needs 25 n.m (18 lb ft) torque and the nut requires 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Complete the installation by placing the Drive Belt while replacing the intake manifold cover and reattaching the negative Battery Cable.

Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) and the nut to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

Install the generator brace along with the generator brace bolt and nut, tightening the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) and the nut to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
