    Q:
How to Replace an A/C Hose Discharge Line on GMC Acadia? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for replacing a discharge hose is recovering the refrigerant before you raise and support the vehicle. Start by removing the right front wheel house liner followed by taking off the right front engine splash shield and right headlamp assembly and fascia grille. Starting by disconnecting the electrical connector from the a/c pressure switch workers should remove the discharge line bolt from the A/C Compressor before cutting away the discharge line from the A/C Compressor. The discharge line to condenser bolt must be removed first along with disconnecting the discharge line from the condenser so operators can remove the discharge line affecting those parts. Replace the discharge line o-rings with new ones before installing them onto the discharge line. Secure the discharge line to the condenser through the discharge line to condenser bolt that needs tightening at 9 n.m (80 lb in). The discharge line operation begins with connecting the tube to the A/C Compressor equipment and bolting the discharge line to the A/C Compressor compressor while tightening it to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The a/c pressure switch requires reinstallation with attachment of the electrical connector after the right front engine splash shield and right front wheel house liner and right headlamp assembly and fascia grille. Low the vehicle down during the process of evacuating and charging the refrigerant system. Conduct a leak test on component fittings through the use of the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
