    Q:
How to replace the Front Transmission Oil Cooler Hose on Cadillac SRX? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process of replacing the front transmission fluid cooler pipe begins with conducting leak tests through the halogen leak detector j 39400-a. The a/c system refrigerant requires no discharge when performing this process. The first step requires removing the A/C Condenser bolts for mounting and shifting the condenser aside to reach the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler lines. The maintenance procedure begins with separating the Transmission Oil Cooler lines from their connection points to both the toc and the toc retainer clip. The maintenance steps begin with deshrouding the toc to cooling fan shroud bolts then removing the lh front wheel followed by unmounting the lh front splash shield retainers followed by the lh front splash shield. The front toc lines need to be disconnected from the rear toc lines by using the transmission cooler quick connect (J 44827). Afterward remove the front toc lines. The first step for installation is to attach front toc lines and link them with rear toc lines. Boot up the installation by putting back the lh front wheel and splash shield retainers. Afterwards reinstall the lh front splash shield. Fasten the toc to cooling fan shroud bolts to a torque level of 6.5 n.m (58 lb in). Tighten both the toc line to the toc retainer clip fitting and the Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC) lines to the toc using 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Place and tighten the condenser in its proper position.

    Q:
How to replace the rear transmission oil cooler hose on all-wheel drive (AWD) on Cadillac SRX? Posted by Customer
    A:
Prior to performing a replacement on the rear transmission fluid cooler pipe of all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles start by removing the engine Oil Filter. The first step includes removing the left-hand (LH) intermediate shaft bearing assembly. The front transmission oil cooler lines should be detached from rear toc lines through the use of transmission cooler quick connect tool j 44827. Unbolt the rear transmission outlet cooler (TOC) line to transmission retainer while disconnecting the rear toc lines from their position. Replace the o-rings before discarding them. When accessing the retainer bracket rivets the toc lines require individual removal and the toc retainer bracket bolt needs replacement after the lines are appropriately positioned. The replacement process begins by drilling out the rivets from the retainer bracket and subsequently removing both the bracket as well as the toc lines. Start installation by placing and riveting the retainer bracket to the toc lines before installation. Screw in the toc retainer bracket bolt until it reaches a torque value of 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Begin the installation of fresh o-rings to the rear toc lines followed by their connection to the transmission before tightening the rear toc line to transmission retainer bolt at 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The installation process ends with connecting the front toc lines to the rear toc lines followed by reinstallation of the lh intermediate shaft bearing assembly then engine Oil Filter installation.
