    Q:
How to replace the front brake calipers on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin the front brake caliper replacement by checking the fluid position in the brake master cylinder reservoir. The presence of fluid at the midway point indicating no fluid removal is necessary so long as the fluid level exceeds the midway point removal actions are required. You must first remove the brake pads from the front disc brake then extract the brake hose fitting bolt and apply a cap to the brake caliper inlet port to protect against fluid loss and contamination while avoiding the reuse of brake hose fitting gaskets. The brake hose fitting gaskets that guard the brake hose need to be discarded while sealing the brake hose fitting with a brake hose cap. Because new brake caliper bolts should replace the old ones you need to remove and discard the caliper before installation. Place the new brake caliper onto the Steering Knuckle by using 2 new bolts which need to be tightened to 40 nm (33 lb ft) +90 degrees. Install the brake hose fitting bolt together with 2 new brake hose fitting gaskets onto the brake hose followed by attaching the brake hose assembly onto the brake caliper where you must torque the fitting bolt to 40 nm (30 lb ft). End the process by installing brake pads after you perform hydraulic brake system bleeding.
