    Q:
How to Replace a Power Steering Hose in the Reservoir Inlet Pipe on Chevrolet Tracker? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the Power Steering Reservoir inlet pipe/hose requires draining the power steering fluid from the reservoir through a siphon method. The power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe features the inlet hose as one component that links the reservoir to the inlet pipe which leads to the power steering gear outlet hose. The power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose clamp at the power steering gear outlet hose must be loosened but take care to position a drain pan underneath the vehicle to store expelled fluid. The process begins by disconnecting the power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe from both the power steering gear outlet hose then removing the 3 bolts to detached the 3 power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe clamps. The inlet hose clamp needs loosing at the reservoir before removing the hose from the reservoir. Mount the inlet hose onto the reservoir by fastening it with a clamp. You should install the inlet pipe onto the power steering gear outlet hose and complete the attachment with a hose clamp. Secure the 3 power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe clamps by installing 3 bolts which should be tightened to 11 nm (8.0 ft. Lbs.). Complete the power steering system operation by adding power steering fluid to the reservoir followed by bleeding the system through its normal process.
