    Q:
How to replace or repair the Supercharged emblem/nameplate on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace or repair the Supercharged emblem/nameplate; It is required to protect the mount surface using tape and use tape for alignment marks. Heats that Emblem/Nameplate using Heat Gun (J 25070) with approximately circular movement for approximately 30 seconds. In order to rule out paint damage, an unbendable plastic, flat-bladed tool should be used to remove/raise the emblem/nameplate from the side of the panel. If the tape is still on the molding or the panel, clean it and the mating surface with adhesive cleaner and a clean, lint-free cloth; if the tape is damaged, continue with the replacement. Use adhesive foam tape on the back of the emblem/nameplate, and press it on. For removing adhesives, use 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07502) for on body panel, or for plastic panel use lint-free cloth with Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha or 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. Install the software in a dust free area. Clean the area by using lint free cloth and VMP naphtha or alcohol-water mixture, dry thoroughly. Mark the position with tape, heat the mounting surface to about 27-41°C (80-105°F), and the emblem/nameplate should be heated to about 29-32°C (85-90°F). Peel off the protective liner from the back of the emblem/nameplate and place it to match the marks on the emblem/nameplate, and press firmly onto mounting area evenly, as to have an even bond. At last, take off the protective tape from the fixing surface.

    Q:
How to replace or repair the Radiator Grille Emblem on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
Heat the emblem/nameplate with a tool while placing tape on the surface to protect it as you put alignment marks on the panel. Use the Heat Gun (J 25070) to heat the emblem/nameplate in circles for 30 seconds. The plastic flat tool helps you separate the emblem/nameplate gently from its panel placement without damaging the paint. You should employ either the 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07502) for plastic body panels or a lint-free cloth dampened with either VMP naphtha or a water-based alcohol mixture to wipe away adhesive. Prepare the area by wiping it with a lint-free cloth using the same solution before completely drying it. Place tape marks on top of the mounting spot then warm the background surface to 80-105°F while ensuring the emblem/nameplate reaches 85-90°F range. Remove the protective liner without handling the adhesive surface and place the emblem/nameplate at the marked spots by applying strong pressure to secure it. Complete the process by pressing equally on all parts of the badge and slowly removing the tape that covered the mounting area.
