The first step involves draining the maximum amount of power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir before proceeding to uninstall the air cleaner assembly. The subsequent steps involve detaching the Power Steering Pump pulley before disconnecting the outlet hose from the power steering fluid reservoir and disconnecting the inlet hose from the power steering gear. Remove all bracket bolts from the Power Steering Pump. Take out the Power Steering Pump unit together with the bracket from the vehicle before moving the bracket when needed. The Power Steering Pump installation requires placing the pump along with its bracket back into the vehicle while following the bracket bolt installation order to tighten them up to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). After draining the fluid from hoses remove the drain pans while reattaching the power steering gear inlet hose along with the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose. Lastly wipe away excess fluid from all fittings. The final step involves putting back the front air deflector together with Power Steering Pump pulley and air cleaner assembly followed by power steering fluid addition and bleeding procedure.
