    Q:
How to replace the quarter panel emblem/nameplate on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should use alignment tape as marks during the quarter panel installation of the Impala to locate the correct position. This tape will prevent damaging the mounting surface. Heat the emblem/nameplate evenly for 30 seconds using your J 25070 tool. Use a plastic flat blade tool to erase the nameplate from its surface on the panel. When replacing the emblem/nameplate on body and plastic panels use proper adhesive removal methods; body panels need either 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk or equivalent tools while plastic panels require lint-free cloth and VMP naptha solution or 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water mixture. Clear the area and dry it first then use tape to define where the emblem/nameplate should go on the panel. To prepare the installation surface warm it to 27-41 °C (80-105 °F) using J 25070 (Heat Gun) and maintain the emblem/nameplate temperature at 29-32 °C (85-90 °F). Place the emblem/nameplate gently where the marks show on the spot and attach it firmly by pressing down equally across the surface to make a strong seal. At last take away the protective tape from the area where you install the sign.

    Q:
How to replace the Rear Compartment Lid Emblem/Nameplate on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Nameplate area on the Impala rear compartment start by putting alignment guides on the parts to help with positioning and to shield the mounting surface during removal. Heat the emblem/nameplate with the J25070 tool in a round motion for 30 seconds. You can safely take out the panel surface emblem/nameplate by scraping it with a plastic flat blade tool. Cleaning all adhesive residue needs 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07502) for body panels while using a lint-free cloth with VMP naptha or isopropyl alcohol mixture for plastic panels. Prepare your workspace by cleaning and drying it properly before indicating the emblem/nameplate installation area with tape. Use the J 25070 tool to heat the emblems target surface area up to 80-105°F (27-41°C). Keep the emblem/nameplate at 85-90-degree Fahrenheit while also steering clear of the backing material. Apply the emblem/nameplate on top of the mounting surface by directly pressing it there according to the location marks. Use steady pressure across all areas to create complete bond strength. Take off the protective tape from the installation location after placing the item.
