Begin Radiator replacement by obtaining the required tools which include hose clamp pliers (J 38185) and outlet heater hose clamp (J 39529). Start by emptying the coolant recovery reservoir before employing hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to detach the Radiator inlet hose and the clamp at this location. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) are used to detach the clamp at the Radiator outlet so that you can remove the Radiator outlet hose. You should use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to remove the outlet heater hose clamp at the Radiator before disconnecting the outlet heater hose . Remove the automatic transmission cooler lines together with the engine oil cooler lines from the system. Start by loosening fan shroud bolts from the Radiator support top along with bolts from the sides of the fan shroud until removal of Radiator and both Radiator insulators becomes possible (1, 3). The inspection of the Radiator includes checking the insulators and hoses and clamps along with mounting hardware while replacing defective items. The first installation step involves setting the new Radiator insulators (1, 3) and the Radiator in its correct position. Secure the fan shroud bolts to the top of the Radiator support at 6 nm torque and distribute the same torque to the fan shroud bolts on fan shroud sides. Use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to connect the engine oil cooler lines together with automatic transmission oil lines while installing the Radiator outlet hose with its clamp. Use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to install the Radiator inlet hose by affixing it with its clamp. Reinstall the coolant recovery reservoir after you install the outlet heater hose with its clamp (J 39529). Also check both automatic transmission fluid and engine oil levels.
