    Q:
How to replace the inlet radiator hose on GMC Terrain? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of radiator inlet hoses begins with draining the cooling system through Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) (GE 47716). The next step requires removal of the intake manifold cover. The professional should utilize the J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to loosen the hose clamp tension at both the radiator and engine locations before removing the radiator inlet hose from its mounting positions. You should start by loosening the radiator inlet hose clamp at the engine with J 38185 before pulling off the radiator inlet hose from the engine then moving on to remove the hose from the vehicle. Clean coolant must be used to lubricate all inside diameters of the new hose before applying it to the vehicle. J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers should be used to apply tension on the radiator inlet hose clamp which connects to the engine. By using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers fix the new radiator inlet hose to the engine before locking tension on the clamp using the tool. To complete the operation replace the intake manifold cover before following steps for Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) (GE 47716).
