    Q:
How to replace the rear seat belt on Buick Park Avenue? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the rear seat belt requires uninstalling the seat cushion and seatback before removing the sail panel and rear shelf trim panel. First extract the rear seat belt retractor sound barrier present underneath the rear shelf panel from inside the trunk space. Then remove the retractor assembly bolt. Press down on the retractor assembly while the retaining pin escapes the key hole then remove both the guide loop anchor bolt and the lower anchor bolt successively. You should then eliminate the outside belt assembly parts. Begin by installing the outside belt assembly followed by the lower anchor bolt so it achieves a torque of 30 N.m (22 lb ft). The guide loop retainer bolt needs installation followed by a bolt torque of 30 N.m (22 lb ft). The retractor installation requires users to position the retaining pin into the key hole then draw the assembly upward until it snaps securely. Fasten the retractor assembly bolt to 9 N.m (72 lb in) torque while also adding the rear seat belt retractor sound barrier , the rear shelf trim panel, then the sail panels and the seatback and seat cushion in that order.
