Before fixing the front Wheel Speed Sensor you must take proper steps to shield yourself from brake dust. When replacing the sensor because of a dtc check for foreign particles on the encoder surface of the Wheel Bearing and clean it thoroughly to minimize signal disturbance. To access the left front sensor take out the air cleaner component while for the right front sensor disconnect and put aside the positive battery cables. Disconnect the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector and lift the vehicle. Then take off the tire and wheel assembly. Detach the Wheel Speed Sensor wire grommet from the wheelhouse and ease the wire through with care. Releasing all wire connector clips from their locations along the wheelhouse and strut suspension will allow the harness to be completely pulled out. Cleaning the rubbing surface on the Steering Knuckle lets you unscrew the Wheel Speed Sensor bolt and extract the sensor from the knuckle by hand. Put the sensor on the Steering Knuckle and tighten the bolt to 80 lb in 80 (9 Nm) before repositioning the wire harness routing clips. Insert the electrical connection into the wheelhouse hole and fit the rubber seal correctly. Plug in the electrical parts and put back the tire and wheel unit before reattaching the battery positive connection if necessary. Conclude by testing the updated system to check if the damage has been fixed.

Inspection of metal particles on the Wheel Bearing encoder surface must occur before preparing to replace the front sensor. Issue cleaning if necessary to maintain sensor signal clarity. Take off the air cleaner component before changing the right front Wheel Speed Sensor and unplug its electrical connection. Lift the car and take away the tire and wheel unit. Unclip the Wheel Speed Sensor wire grommet from the wheelhouse opening then gently draw out the sensor wire and connector. Detach the wheelhouse routing clip holding the wire harness first before taking off clip and . Clean the mounting surface of the Steering Knuckle then remove the Wheel Speed Sensor bolt to extract the sensor directly upwards from its location. Put the new Wheel Speed Sensor into the Steering Knuckle space and fix it using the Wheel Speed Sensor bolt with a torque setting of 9 n.m (80 lb in). Attach the suspension clips and to their original location on the strut before inserting the wire electrical connector through the wheelhouse and placing the wire harness grommet into its housing. Join the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector and put back on the tire-and-wheel unit before placing in the air cleaner component if needed. Complete your diagnostic procedure by running the vehicle system test to make sure everything works as planned.

The procedure starts by disconnecting the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector and raising the vehicle for support. You must begin by removing the tire and wheel assembly before unfastening the Wheel Speed Sensor wire grommet from the wheelhouse proper. After pulling the Wheel Speed Sensor wire and connector through the wheelhouse you should release the Wheel Speed Sensor wire harness routing clip from the wheelhouse before letting go of the clips from the suspension strut. Clear all dirt and debris from the Wheel Speed Sensor mounting area at the Steering Knuckle before removing its bolt. You need to extract the Wheel Speed Sensor by elevating it directly from the Steering Knuckle assembly. Guide the new Wheel Speed Sensor into the Steering Knuckle before securing it with a Wheel Speed Sensor bolt torqued to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The procedure requires returning Wheel Speed Sensor wire harness routing clips to their respective positions on the suspension strut while guiding the Wheel Speed Sensor wire electrical connector through the wheelhouse opening to set up the Wheel Speed Sensor wire harness grommet correctly into place. Install the tire and wheel assembly after connecting the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector. Complete the diagnostic system check - vehicle.

Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector and release the wire harness grommet from the lower control arm bracket, followed by the wire harness routing clips from the upper suspension link.

Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector, reinstall the tire and wheel assembly, and perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle.

Reinstall the tire and wheel assembly and perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle to verify proper operation.
