    Q:
How to replace the rear wheel speed sensor on Chevrolet Tracker? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the replacement process by lifting and holding the vehicle properly. Unplug the sensor electrical port and take out the retaining bolts to separate the rear wheel speed sensor from the vehicle. Look at the sensor surface to see if metal dirt or grease build-up needs cleaning. Inspect the sensor surface for flaws and make sure it stays away from the toothed ring. Get a new sensor when damage prevents normal working. Also check the axle bearing for signs of unhealthy wear. Push the wheel speed sensor into place by hand only because it requires tight installation to prevent breaking. Before adding the wheel speed sensor put silicone grease on the surface using product 12345579 or similar to prevent corrosion. Insert the rear wheel speed sensor assembly into the axle housing and fasten it with the retaining bolt at 7.8 Nm (69 inch lbs.). Perform a test that checks diagnostic system performance of ABS.
