    The first step to replace the primary Fuel Tank module (NT7, NU5) includes tank fuel removal. The connector and fuel and evaporative emission lines must be taken away from both the primary and secondary Fuel Tank modules. The secondary Fuel Pump module requires uninstallation. Start the Fuel Tank sender wrench (CH 45722) to rotate the cam lock ring counter-clockwise until it releases. Proceed to take out the primary Fuel Tank module as well as the o-ring. The removal of the primary Fuel Level Sensor is required only when replacing the Fuel Pump module. The installation requires proper placement of the primary Fuel Level Sensor provided that the replacement involves only the Fuel Pump module. The ch 45722 - Fuel Tank sender wrench helps to install the cam lock ring clockwise after placing a new o-ring with the primary Fuel Tank module . The next step involves installation of the secondary Fuel Pump module together with connector attachment to the primary and secondary Fuel Tank modules and the final step includes fuel line connections with the evaporative emission system. Finally, install the Fuel Tank.

The installer should follow these steps when changing only the Fuel Pump module: first set the primary Fuel Level Sensor in place then add a new o-ring followed by the primary Fuel Tank module. Turn the ch 45722 (Fuel Tank Sender Wrench) to clockwise direction to install the cam lock ring before putting back the secondary Fuel Pump module. Reinstall the electrical connectors which connect to the primary and secondary Fuel Tank modules then join the fuel and evaporative emission lines. Finally, reinstall the Fuel Tank.
