How to replace the rear back up light and tail light on 2000 Buick LeSabre?

Start lamp replacement by disconnecting the tail/back up lamp harness connector which exists between the body wiring harness. Unplug the tail/back up lamp harness grommet from the rear compartment lid when supporting the assembly to remove the lamp from the vehicle. During installation you must support the tail/back up lamp assembly while you install the tail/back up lamp harness grommet to the rear compartment lid followed by the tail/back up lamp. Thread the tail/back up lamp fasteners onto the lamp studs and torque them to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Finish the installation by attaching the tail/back up lamp electrical connector to its metal edge on the rear compartment lid.
