  A: Start by removing the intake plenum when replacing an Intake Manifold. Begin by releasing the fuel system pressure and removing the fuel supply hose and fuel return hose from the Fuel Rail. Start by disconnecting the fuel injector electrical harness connector followed by disconnecting the fuel pressure regulator vacuum connection. After removing the Intake Manifold bolts pull out the Intake Manifold but put masking on the ports leading to the Intake Manifold spacer to stop foreign objects from reaching the engine and to protect the machined aluminum surfaces for proper sealing. To begin installation first clean all sealing surfaces on the Intake Manifold using a nonabrasive tool or solvent before removing port intake masking materials before placing the manifold. Run 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) torque on the bolts before finishing Intake Manifold installation. Connect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line and fuel injector electrical wires with your hands in reverse positions to avoid Fuel Rail damage. Install the fuel supply hose and tighten its connections to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.)proceed to attach the fuel return hose while maintaining counterhand contact with both connections to protect the Fuel Rail system before tightening them to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Finally, reinstall the intake plenum.
