How to replace the negative battery cable on 2000 Cadillac Seville?

The replacement of a negative Battery Cable requires starting with rear seat cushion removal followed by disconnecting the negative cable from both the battery and body harness before finally disconnecting it from the Floor Pan. Remove the negative Battery Cable from both the battery and vehicle after disconnecting the body harness from the Floor Pan. During installation position the cable eyelet to face upward with its flat side resting at the bottom. Attach the negative Battery Cable body end to the Floor Pan while tightening its bolt to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Once completed, install the rear seat cushion after connecting the negative Battery Cable to the battery and the body harness connector to the body harness.
